Virtual Domain
Every account is a true virtual domain hosted account. This is the domain name that you choose as your Internet identity (e.g. www.yourname.com).

Enhanced SubDomains
Every account includes the enhanced subdomains** or vanity domains (www.user.yourname.com) feature. Subdomains can point to any directory on your server space. A subdomain is a user. Each user has a personal email and ftp account and control panel.

International Domains
We host and support international domains (e.g. www.yourname.se).

Web Based Control Panel
Every account includes an administrator web based control panel and a control panel for each user. The control panel includes site and email administration for all users.

Disk Space
Our basic hosting plan are tailored to meet the requirements of the average or common business web site. Every hosting plan is easily upgradeable at any time with no upgrade charge.

SMTP/POP3 Email / FTP Accounts
A POP is a private storage box for email on our mail server -- and the Internet standard for electronic mail protocols (anything@yourname.com). POP provides a downstream function, you can retrieve email from a server (incoming). SMTP provides an upstream fucntion, you can send email using your email client to a server (outgoing). Email clients like Eudora, Netscape Communicator and MS Outlook are POP compliant and compatible. AOL is the only ISP that is not POP compliant or compatible. Every hosting plan includes 5 email accounts with each 50mb of disk space. There is no limit to how many POP accounts you can add to your hosting plan. Each POP account includes email forwarding and an email autoresponder/vacation reply.

POP or IMAP Email Accounts
We provide and support both POP and IMAP email type protocols. By default, all accounts are setup with the Internet standard POP email accounts unless you specify IMAP. APOP secure email accounts are available upon order (optional).

Email Autoresponder / Vacation Reply
There is no limit to how many email autoresponders (vacation replies) you can add to your hosting plan. An autoresponder is a simple text file that you store in a folder (called infobots) that is associated with an email address. When email is sent to the specific email address, the text file is automatically sent back to the sender in the form of email. Our email catch-all feature will auto reply to every email sent to you or specific text files can be created to reply to specific email calls. You manage your email account features using a password protected control panel.

Unlimited Email Forwarding
There is no limit to our email forwarding feature and forwarding can be easily turned on and off. Our email catch-all feature will forward each, any or all of your email (anything@yourname.com) to any email address of your choice -- this feature makes retrieving email very simple and fast. Or, you can retrieve your email from each of your email accounts individually. You manage your email account features using a password protected control panel.

Unlimited Email Aliases
Every account includes unlimited email aliases. An Email Alias allows you to create unlimited alias user names to use as an email address (user@yourdomain.com). Each alias is associated with a specific user (email account) and functions like a normal email account. You manage your email account features using a password protected control panel.

Catch-all Email Address
Our network uses our trade marked PowerPlus mail system to automatically capture any name that may be sent to your domain name (anyname@yourdomain.com) -- email catch-all. This means as long as the @yourdomain.com is proper, even typos in the user name will still be captured, not refused. This feature can be easily turned on and off. You manage your email account features using a password protected control panel.

Shopping Cart
The Shopping Cart feature installs or removes the Agora Cart Shopping Cart program on your site. After it is installed, you are given directions for managing the Cart. (The Agora Cart is a free shopping cart -program)

Counters
From this option, you can verify that the counter program is installed for your account. Also, you can find directions for setting up a counter on one of your pages. Finally, after the counter has been installed on your pages, you can set the value of the counter from here.

File Manager
The File Manager is a very powerful feature. It allows you to manipulate all the files in your web site. You are able to create, delete, and move your files. You can also upload files from your local PC to the server in File Manager. Plus, you can edit the HTML in any of your files from this option. Everything you need to manage your site can be found in this feature.

Formmail
Formmail allows you to use a form to receive email from your users. Directions for using Formmail can be found under this option. If you are currently having problems with your formmail.pl script or if the Order Form "Post" method stops working for a normal non-secure order page, check for a leading slash, '/', before the post action:
/cgi-bin/fommail.pl
remove the leading slash, and change to
cgi-bin/formmail.pl

Mime Types
MIME Types allows you to set certain programs to be used for specific extensions. For example, all files that end in .ram would be set to use Real Player on the user's PC. Most users do not need to use this feature. Also, note that you cannot use this feature if you have Frontpage Extensions installed. You would need to use Frontpage itself to perform this function.

MySQL Database
MySQL is a database engine that you can use with your web site. This feature of the CP will allow you to create a new MySQL database, and manage it. You will be able to add/edit/delete tables, fields, and values. You can also run queries on the database if you need to.

PGP
This option will allow you to set up your PGP key on the server. This allows you to use PGP in your scripts or with our PGPMail script. You must first have PGP installed on your local PC, and create a PGP key pair before uploading the key to the server.

PGPMail
PGPMail is simply the Formmail script, except that it encrypts the email via PGP before it is sent to the client. This option includes directions for using PGPMail. Note that you must upload your PGP key before you can use this script.

Protect Directories
Using this option, you can password-protect any directory you own. This will prevent users from viewing the contents of a directory unless they have permission. You can set any number of users using this feature. Note that you cannot use this feature if you have Frontpage Extensions installed. You would need to use Frontpage itself to perform this function.

Redirect URL
Redirect URL allows you to set up a redirection so that user that type in one URL will automatically be sent to another URL. Note that you cannot use this feature if you have Frontpage Extensions installed. You would need to use Frontpage itself to perform this function.

Mailing List
Your visitors can subscribe to your personalized maillist. This is a great way to offer your customers a monthly newsletter, sales updates or just a friendly hello. The PlusMail system is capable of multiple lists so you can organize what information your customers may be looking for, a friendly welcome message will also be sent. The lists can be upto 1000 names and you can email a message up to 75k to the lists you create.

Mailing List Manager
This is a very flexible tool for interacting with your customers or clients. In simple terms its an interactive style news letter that allows all subscribers to distribute information. There are many configurable features including automatic subscribe and unsubscribe and much more. Each list can email up to 1500 emails per day, if you would like to increase the limit, email us for pricing.

Unlimited 24x7 FTP Updates
Telnet, FTP, and POP updates and access is available 24 hours every day. By default, each domain includes a shell, FTP and POP mailbox. Telnet is available upon order.

Anonmyous FTP Access
Every account includes unlimited 7/24 anonymous FTP access.

Personal CGI-bin & Applications
CGI stands for "Common Gateway Inferface," a fancy name meaning computer programs running on a webserver that can be invoked by a browser. The "bin" part alludes to the binary executables that result from compiled or assembled programs. It is a bit misleading because cgi's can also be Unix shell scripts or interpreted languages like Perl.

Working CGI/Perl scripts are included with every hosting option -- such as a Message Board, Guestbook, Questionaire, Survey, Site Search Engine, Graphic Counters, Single Page Shoping Cart, Password Protect Web Page, Form Mail, Cgi Email, Banner Rotation, Subscribe Mailing List and a few other common scripts. This means that the scripts are pre-installed to work without you having to know anything about server assignment and other necessary program setup.

Site Statistics
A web usage statistic program is include with every web hosting account. This is a very powerful tool for tracking prospects and search engines that enter your web site. It will tell you who, what, why, when and how long they were there, what pages they visited and much more. With advanced logging activated, it will even tell you where they came from, what browser they use and more.

Referer Logs
This is an extended logging feature that will document where each vistor to your site came from. You will know if they found you using a search engine or a link from another web site link or whatever. Referer logs provide valuable information when planning your sites marketing.

Access to Secure Server
Normally, any text (such as a credit card number) sent from a browser to a web server is sent as plain text. A hacker could potentially intercept the information sent from a browser and read it. By using a secure server, the information is encrypted before it is sent from a browser. It would be practically impossible for anyone to decrypt it without knowing the key. A secure server is practical when requesting sensitive information from your visitors. Secure server access is provided for all accounts, we use the Power Apache server to encrypt information that is read or transmited through a web browser. A secure server and secure POP (APOP) will guarantee your information is transferred secure from their browser to your mail server.

Server Side Includes
All accounts include SSI support. SSI or server side includes allow the server to parse special page commands. An example, if you had a footer you wanted on all of your pages that may change from time to time, you can create a text file with the desired footer and place it in your domain. On each page you put a simple include to read that file and place it at the bottom of the desired pages.

FrontPage 2002 Support
All accounts include FrontPage support, Microsoft's simple editor. It requires that you own the frontpage software and have it installed on your home system as well. Although frontpage does not completly disable regular cgi access, there will be a few scripts that will not work properly while it is in use. If you have an option, we highly recommend you not experiment or use FrontPage. The extensions are easily damaged moving the files and many users find it not worth all of the incompatibility problems resulting from using it for their web sites, especially when it isn't necessary.

Unlimited 24x7 Telnet Access
A telnet account can be activated for any existing or newly created user. Each telnet account includes unlimited 7/24 access with password protection specific to each telnet user. Telnet / Shell Accounts are available upon order and maintained via a password protected control panel.

Real Audio/Video (Streaming)
Real Audio is a real time audio transmission/player system. A digital audio stream is transmitted from the server over the Internet to the destination and played immediately, rather than being stored to disk first and then played. Each audio clip requires two files: a metafile with extension .ram, and the digital audio clip itself, with extension .ra.

Search Engine
This feature will allow you to install and manage the WebGlimpse Search Engine on your site. This Search Engine will allow your users to perform searches on your web site.

Site Creation Tool
This is a graphical web-based program that gives you the ability to set up your web site from scratch, without any knowledge of HTML, or the use of a program like MS FrontPage. After the site is created, you can make it your main domain's page, or you can have it be a subdirectory under your main domain.

Site Statistics
The Site Statistics feature gives you access to your site's web statistics, such as hits, transfers, etc.

SSH
All of the Web Hosting plans we offer include full shell access to our web servers. Clients can access the UNIX shell using Secure Shell (SSH). SSH is a fully encrypted and secure protocol for interfacing with UNIX servers. All SSH connections encrypt data sent between the client and the server - ensuring that things like passwords or other sensitive information are not easily intercepted.

UNIX shell access can come in very handy when developing, installing or debugging CGI Scripts or other software. You'll have full access to web server log files and common development tools like perl, python, gcc, make, javac, and many other development and debugging tools.
